Our Amalfi Coast wedding packages give you access to a curated selection of exceptional locations to celebrate your love.
QUICK ANSWERS
Most Amalfi Coast weddings follow this flow, customized to your package and vision.
Sunrise ceremonies — highly recommended for the best light and fewer tourists:
- 5:30-6:00 AM — wake up in your coastal hotel room
- 6:00-6:30 AM — photographer arrives for getting-ready coverage (Diamond/Infinity packages)
- 7:00 AM — arrive at the ceremony location (Positano cliffs, Ravello gardens, Amalfi seaside) in soft golden Mediterranean light
- 7:00-7:30 AM — ceremony as the sun rises over the Tyrrhenian Sea. Magical light, almost no tourists
- 7:30-8:30 AM — couple portraits at the ceremony location, with a dramatic coastal backdrop
What happens next depends on your package:
- Silver (1h photography) — done by 8:30 AM. Celebrate with cappuccino and cornetti at a local café.
- Gold (3h photography + chauffeur) — 8:30-9:30 AM Mercedes chauffeur along the spectacular coastal road to a second location (Ravello gardens, Positano village center or Amalfi cathedral), 9:30-11:00 AM portraits there, then 11:00 AM-12:00 PM an optional limoncello celebration, seafood lunch, or return to your hotel.
- Diamond (3h photo + 3h video) — the same 2-location flow as Gold, with a videographer capturing the ceremony, the coastal drive scenery and the village exploration. Your wedding film includes the dramatic winding roads.
- Infinity (5h photo + 5h video + private venue) — 9:00 AM hair and makeup artist arrives at your hotel, 11:00 AM getting-ready coverage begins, 1:00-2:30 PM ceremony at a private venue (Villa Rufolo terrace, clifftop villa or luxury hotel garden) with violinist, 2:30-6:00 PM vintage Fiat 500 coastal tour or sunset boat experience visiting grottos and swimming coves, 6:00 PM sunset aperitif
Amalfi Coast wedding packages start at €970 for the Basic package (ceremony and officiant only).
Our most popular Silver package costs €1,810 and includes 1 hour of professional photography, a bouquet, and the ceremony at iconic locations like Positano cliffs, Ravello gardens or Amalfi seaside.
The Gold package (€2,980) adds 3 hours of photography and a Mercedes chauffeur tour of the coastal villages. The Diamond package (€5,110) includes both 3 hours of photography and videography, to capture your cinematic wedding film. For fully customized luxury experiences, our Infinity package starts at €9,410 and includes a private venue for 2 hours, 5 hours each of photo and video coverage, a choice of vintage car coastal tour or sunset boat experience, violinist, and hair/makeup artist.
Two things to budget for. Add +€100 to any package price for Sorrento locations (slightly higher vendor travel costs). Private venues have additional rental fees (€1,200-3,000) — and some villas allow couple photos but do not permit holding the ceremony.
Most couples choose Gold or Diamond packages, for the perfect balance of coverage and value.
Personally coordinated by Camilla, our exclusive 2026 all-inclusive options offer 100% transparent pricing for Positano, Ravello and Sorrento:
| Package | Price | Key inclusions |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | €970 | Tailor-made ceremony, English Officiant, Symbolic Certificate. |
| Silver | €1,810 | Basic + Professional Photography & Bridal Bouquet. |
| Gold | €2,980 | Silver + 3h Photo & Mercedes chauffeur tour of the coast. |
| Diamond | €5,110 | Gold + Full Videography & Professional Hair/Makeup. |
| Infinity | €9,410 | Private venue, Vintage car/Boat tour, Sunset aperitif for 2. |
*Note: add +€100 for any Sorrento packages.
The closest major airport is Naples International Airport (NAP), about 60-90 minutes from the Amalfi Coast depending on your destination.
Private transfer — highly recommended. 60-75 minutes to Amalfi or Positano, 50 minutes to Sorrento, at €100-150 each way. The drivers navigate the winding coastal roads expertly, and we can arrange transfers through trusted local drivers.
Public transport — take the Alibus shuttle from the airport to Naples Centrale train station (20 min, €5), then the Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento (70 min, €5), then the SITA bus along the coast to Positano or Amalfi (45-90 min, €5). This saves money but takes 3-4 hours total with connections.
Ferry (April-October only) — private transfer to Naples port (€60), then ferry to Positano or Amalfi (90 minutes, €20-25). Scenic, but weather-dependent.
Rome airports (Fiumicino, Ciampino) are 3-4 hours away — only use them if you are combining Rome with the Amalfi Coast.
Most couples stay 2-3 nights on the Amalfi Coast: one night before the wedding, the wedding day, one night after. Book centrally in Positano, Amalfi or Sorrento for easy access to ceremony locations.
No car rental needed. The narrow, winding coastal roads are stressful to drive. Our Gold, Diamond and Infinity packages include a Mercedes chauffeur on the wedding day; for other days, use local buses, taxis or ferries between villages. Camilla can recommend hotels and arrange all transportation logistics.
Absolutely. Positano is one of the most romantic spots on the Amalfi Coast and our most popular location. We know beautiful ceremony spots throughout this iconic cliffside village — from terraces overlooking the colorful houses cascading to the sea, to intimate beach settings with crystal-clear Mediterranean waters.
Options include:
- Clifftop terraces with the bay as your backdrop (perfect space for a couple)
- Spiaggia Grande beach, with Positano’s famous domed church in view
- Scenic coastal paths connecting small coves and viewpoints
- Private hotel terraces and villas with exclusive access (additional fee)
The best time for Positano ceremonies is at sunrise, before the day-trippers arrive — you’ll have this magical village almost to yourselves.
The narrow streets and staircases make Positano intimate and romantic, though accessibility can be challenging for guests with mobility issues (we’ll discuss alternatives if needed). Our Gold, Diamond and Infinity packages include Mercedes chauffeur service, perfect for Positano’s winding roads.
Whether it’s just the two of you or a small gathering, Positano creates unforgettable memories with its unique vertical charm and stunning sea views. Depending on the number of guests, you will review the different options with Camilla.
The Amalfi Coast is stunning year-round, but each season has its charm.
- Spring (April-May) — blooming lemon groves, mild weather (18-22°C / 64-72°F) and fewer tourists. Perfect for cliffside ceremonies.
- Summer (June-August) — the warmest temperatures, long daylight (sunset around 8:30 PM) and vibrant Mediterranean energy, though crowds peak in July-August.
- Autumn (September-October) — magical, with golden light, warm sea temperatures and fewer tourists. Many couples choose September for perfect conditions.
- Winter (November-March) — authentic Italy: dramatic coastlines without crowds, an intimate village atmosphere and lower hotel prices.
Morning ceremonies (7-9 AM) give you the best light and the emptiest locations year-round.
The Amalfi Coast’s Mediterranean climate means mild winters (10-15°C / 50-59°F) — chilly but manageable with layers. We provide elegant setups for any weather, and Camilla will help you choose the perfect timing.
AMALFI COAST & SORRENTO WEDDING: FEEL LIKE A MOVIE STAR
Amalfi’s coastline and its towns have been the main background of many films including The Talented Mr Ripley and Il Postino. If you celebrate your ceremony here, you may well feel like Hollywood stars in a famous love story.
What could be more romantic than saying ‘I do’ on a cliff overlooking the sea? Thanks to our Amalfi Coast wedding packages many couples have chosen to have their ceremony with the beautiful Mediterranean as a backdrop. These are spots that we have curated for their natural grandeur yet intimate vibe ensuring a meaningful ceremony – whether just with the two of you or with a bunch of your family and friends.
Immerse yourself in Amalfi’s charming Italian architecture and its works of art; enjoy sun-drenched vineyards and be amazed by the incredible natural landscapes of the highlands. This is an opportunity to have a ceremony full of color and glamour, where the gentle Mediterranean breeze will carry the fragrance of lemons and jasmine and create unforgettable memories.
Winter Weddings on the Amalfi Coast

Absolutely. Every package is fully customizable to create your perfect Mediterranean celebration. The additions couples request most often:
- Extended photography or videography hours — €300-500 per additional hour, to capture more coastal villages or full-day coverage exploring Positano, Amalfi and Ravello
- Hair and makeup artist for the bride — €530-680, included in the Infinity package
- Second photographer for different angles and guest candids throughout the day — €400-600
- Floral arch or ceremony décor setup at your cliffside or garden location — €400-1,000 depending on design and florals
- Limoncello toast with artisan glasses, set up at the ceremony spot — €200-400, featuring authentic Amalfi Coast limoncello
- Sunset boat experience — a private tour visiting coastal grottos, swimming coves and secret beaches, €400-800 for 2-4 hours, included in the Infinity package as an option
- Musician for the ceremony — violinist, classical guitarist or accordion player, €300-500. The violinist is included in Infinity.
- Professional hair and makeup trial the day before the wedding — €150-250
- Vintage Fiat 500 coastal photo tour — an iconic Italian car experience along the winding coastal roads, €300-600, included in the Infinity package
- Intimate dinner arrangement at a Michelin-recommended restaurant for 2-20 guests — we coordinate reservations, menus and wine pairings at top coastal restaurants, €100-200 per person depending on restaurant
- Multi-day photography coverage — engagement shoot the day before, wedding day, and day-after honeymoon session, €800-1,500 total
For larger weddings (15-30 guests), Camilla can arrange guest transportation (Mercedes vans or local buses), private venue rentals for reception space, Italian catering with regional specialties (mozzarella, fresh seafood, local wines), live music or a DJ for the reception, and comprehensive coordination for multi-location events.
The Infinity package is designed for complete customization and often includes multi-day experiences — like combining your Amalfi Coast wedding with Capri boat tours, Pompeii excursions, wine tasting in Ravello, or cooking classes in Positano.
Camilla will work with you to design every detail, from incorporating Italian traditions (like confetti throwing or wine blessing ceremonies) to scheduling boat tours, coordinating with Michelin chefs, or arranging surprise elements like fireworks or sunset serenades. Your imagination is the only limit.
There is no single “best” location — it all depends on your vision. Here are the main options, without going into detail:
- Positano — iconic cliffside views and the most recognizable Amalfi Coast scenery
- Ravello — panoramic views, gardens, and a more intimate atmosphere
- Amalfi — historic charm with the cathedral and seaside ambiance
- Sorrento — elegant setting with easier access and logistics
- Private villas (Praiano, Furore, hillside locations) — privacy, exclusivity, and panoramic terraces
Many couples choose two locations: one for the ceremony and another for photos, to capture different perspectives of the coast.
Camilla will guide you through all available options, share photos, explain permissions and logistics, and help you select the locations that best match your vision, the season, and your guest count.
For magical views and convenient ceremony access, we recommend these prime Amalfi Coast locations.
Positano — the most iconic and romantic. A vertical cliffside village with colorful houses cascading to the sea, closest to most ceremony locations, with charming narrow streets (bring comfortable walking shoes), incredible restaurants and beach clubs. Positano hotels are pricey, but worth it for the location.
- Le Sirenuse — luxury with legendary views, €600-1,200/night
- Hotel Poseidon — boutique with terrace, €300-500
- Casa Angelina — minimalist modern, €400-700
Ravello — elevated and serene. Perched 365 meters above sea level with panoramic Tyrrhenian Sea views, quieter than Positano, near the Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone ceremony venues, with elegant gardens and a classical music heritage. Perfect for intimate, elevated romance.
- Palazzo Avino — 5-star luxury, €500-900
- Hotel Caruso — Belmond property with infinity pool, €700-1,200
- Villa Maria — charming family-run, €200-400
Amalfi town — central and accessible. The coast’s largest town with all amenities, centrally located between Positano and Ravello, with an iconic cathedral and main piazza, and easier vehicle access than Positano.
- Santa Caterina — luxury with private beach access, €400-800
- Hotel Luna Convento — historic monastery conversion, €250-500
- Hotel Marina Riviera — harbor-front, €200-400
Sorrento — accessible and elegant. A clifftop town overlooking the Bay of Naples (technically not the Amalfi Coast, but close), with wider streets and easier logistics for guests, an excellent restaurant scene, and a quick ferry to Capri.
- Grand Hotel Royal — ceremony venue option, €250-450
- Bellevue Syrene — historic with gardens, €300-600
- Hotel Mediterraneo — mid-range, €150-300
Budget-friendly options (€100-200/night) — small towns like Praiano (between Positano and Amalfi), Maiori or Minori offer an authentic experience, beautiful sea views, local restaurants and easy SITA bus connections, all without Positano prices.
Practical tips. Book sea-view rooms — you’re on the Amalfi Coast, the views are the point. Most hotels include breakfast (cappuccino and cornetti on a terrace overlooking the Mediterranean). Our Gold, Diamond and Infinity packages include a Mercedes chauffeur on the wedding day, so hotel location matters less for ceremony logistics. Stay 2-3 nights minimum to enjoy the coast fully.
Camilla can recommend specific hotels matching your budget and style, plus arrange special honeymoon packages or room upgrades.
We recommend booking 6-10 months in advance, especially for peak season (May-September) or popular dates. The Amalfi Coast is Italy’s most popular wedding destination and demand is very high.
Our booking timeline:
- 6-10 months ahead — the best choice of dates, and ensures availability of Camilla’s coordination, our top photographers and preferred hotels. Early booking is essential.
- 3-6 months notice — usually works for shoulder season (April, October-November), though photographer and venue selection may be more limited.
- 2-3 months notice — sometimes possible in winter (December-March) or if you have flexible dates. Contact us immediately to check availability.
- Less than 6 weeks — last-minute weddings are occasionally possible but rare. The coastal hotels, vendors and venues book solid.
Hotels fill up fast. In peak season (June-September), waterfront hotels in Positano and Ravello can book 6-12 months ahead, especially those with sea-view rooms. Winter is easier — beautiful hotels available with 2-3 months notice.
Private venue requirements. Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone often need 4-6 months advance booking for ceremony access, especially May-October. Grand Hotel Royal and luxury hotels need 3-6 months for terrace or garden ceremony rentals.
Peak demand periods: May-June (spring perfection), September-October (best weather, fewer crowds), July-August (summer peak but very crowded), and Easter week plus major Italian holidays.
Weather considerations. The Amalfi Coast enjoys a Mediterranean climate — mild year-round. Spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) offer the best balance of perfect weather, manageable tourists and vendor availability.
If you’re flexible on dates, contact Camilla with your preferred month and she’ll suggest the best available dates based on weather patterns, local events (the Amalfi Coast hosts festivals that can affect availability) and photographer schedules.
Once you book, we secure your date with a deposit, then collaborate on all planning over the following months. Camilla coordinates every detail, vendor selection, timeline creation and location scouting.
The Amalfi Coast enjoys a Mediterranean climate with over 300 days of sunshine, but we’re fully prepared for any weather. As Italians say: “Sposa bagnata, sposa fortunata” — wet bride, lucky bride.
Here’s our rain backup plan.
Weather protection. We provide elegant Italian-style gazebos and canopies that set up quickly at outdoor locations, protecting you and your guests during the ceremony while maintaining beautiful coastal views. Rain often creates stunning moody photography — Mediterranean mist on cliffs, dramatic cloud formations over the sea, rain-kissed lemon trees, glistening cobblestone streets in the villages. Some of our most romantic photos come from rainy days.
Alternative covered locations we pivot to: Ravello’s covered terraces and porticos with sea views, the Amalfi cathedral portico (covered entrance), Sorrento hotel terraces with retractable awnings, covered walkways in historic villa gardens, or charming covered restaurant terraces overlooking the coast.
Private venue solution. If the forecast looks terrible, we can quickly arrange an indoor private venue rental (historic villas, luxury hotels, intimate chapels). Camilla keeps backup options available.
Timing flexibility. Amalfi Coast rain is usually brief Mediterranean showers, not all-day storms. We often wait 20-30 minutes for showers to pass, then proceed with fresh post-rain light (gorgeous golden hour). Our Mercedes chauffeur service (Gold, Diamond and Infinity packages) keeps you dry between locations.
Photography considerations. Bring a clear or colorful umbrella (it makes a fantastic photo prop), waterproof mascara is recommended, have an elegant shawl or jacket ready, and consider nude or metallic shoes instead of delicate white ones.
Weather monitoring. Camilla watches forecasts closely starting 48 hours before your wedding and communicates any needed adjustments.
The reality: rain rarely ruins Amalfi Coast weddings. The dramatic coastline looks stunning in any weather, creating unique atmospheric photos you’ll treasure. Italian coastal rain adds romance and authenticity to your celebration.
Absolutely — we strongly encourage it. Personalized vows transform your ceremony from beautiful to unforgettable.
Writing your vows. Our officiants provide helpful Italian-inspired vow templates and examples. You can write completely original vows or adapt our templates with personal touches. Typical length is 1-2 minutes spoken each (200-400 words written). Topics to include: specific qualities you love about your partner, promises you’re making for your marriage, hopes for your future together, perhaps a reference to why you chose the Amalfi Coast for this moment, and inside jokes or meaningful memories that make you smile together.
Structure options:
- Traditional exchange — the officiant guides, you repeat vows phrase by phrase
- Reading prepared vows you’ve written beforehand — more personal, but requires reading in the emotional moment
- Love letters to each other, incorporated into the ceremony
- A mix of traditional promises and personalized additions
Vow preparation timeline. Camilla sends vow templates and guidance 2-3 months before the wedding. You draft your vows and send them to the officiant for optional feedback, finalize 2-4 weeks before the ceremony, and practice reading them aloud at home (it helps with pacing and emotion).
Tips for great vows. Speak from the heart — authenticity matters more than perfection. Balance humor with serious promises. Keep them roughly equal length with your partner. Mention specific moments or qualities (“your courage when…” rather than just “you’re brave”). End with concrete promises for your future. And bring tissues: the Mediterranean breeze, the dramatic views and the emotion guarantee tears.
Language. Vows are typically in English, which is what our officiants speak. If you’re bilingual, you can incorporate phrases in Italian or your native language — some couples do bilingual vows for a meaningful personal touch.
Privacy consideration. If sharing vows publicly feels too vulnerable, consider exchanging private vow letters before the ceremony, then shorter public promises during the ceremony itself.
Our officiants create intimate, heartfelt ceremonies where every word honors your love — whether traditional, creative, or uniquely yours.
All our packages include access to beautiful public locations, subject to availability and suitability based on the number of guests. Some locations have limited space and may not accommodate larger groups, so the final choice is always confirmed in advance with Camilla.
For couple, public locations may be available at no extra charge and can include panoramic viewpoints in Positano and Ravello, scenic areas near Villa Rufolo, the historic center of Amalfi, seaside promenades in Sorrento, coastal paths with sea views, or hidden beaches accessible on foot, weather and access permitting. For small ceremonies, generally up to 15 guests it depends on the site. For couples wishing to secure a private or exclusive venue, dedicated locations can be arranged. The list of available villas and venues is reviewed with Camilla, as availability depends on the season, the location, and the number of guests.
A sunset boat tour is included in the Infinity Package and may also be added as an optional experience to other packages.
Camilla and Marco will guide you through all available options, share photos, and help you choose the location that best matches your vision, guest count, and time of year.
This service includes a private car with a driver for the couple. The driver will pick you up at your accommodation, take you to the ceremony location, and, for the duration included in your package, drive along the coast to selected scenic spots for photos and videos (depending on the package chosen). At the end of the service, the driver will drop you off at your hotel or restaurant.
Most stunning Amalfi Coast locations are public and included free in all packages for ceremonies with up to 15 guests — clifftop terraces in Positano, Ravello garden viewpoints, Amalfi seaside promenades, Sorrento coastal paths and hidden beaches are all accessible without additional fees.
However, some couples prefer exclusive private venues with guaranteed privacy, exclusive access and special features. These carry additional rental fees:
- Villa Rufolo in Ravello (€1,200-2,500) — historic 13th-century villa with terraced gardens and panoramic Mediterranean views, capacity up to 100 guests, exclusive garden access for ceremony and photos (2-3 hours).
- Villa Cimbrone in Ravello (€1,500-3,000) — the famous Terrace of Infinity viewpoint, English-style gardens with sculptures and fountains, capacity up to 150 guests, exclusive access for 2-4 hours.
- Grand Hotel Royal in Sorrento (€1,000-2,000) — elegant hotel gardens with Bay of Naples views, capacity up to 80 guests, includes tables, chairs and garden setup.
- Private cliffside villas (€2,000-5,000) — exclusive terraces overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, often with infinity pools and lemon groves, capacity typically 20-50 guests, complete privacy for ceremony and reception.
- Luxury hotel terraces in Positano (€1,500-3,500) — hotels like Le Sirenuse or Il San Pietro offer terrace rentals, with spectacular vertical Positano views, capacity 30-60 guests, and often a reception space option.
What the rental fee includes: exclusive ceremony site access during rental hours, tables and chairs for ceremony seating (confirm the exact setup with the venue), garden or terrace maintenance and presentation, venue staff coordination, and sometimes basic floral arrangements.
What’s additional and not included in the venue rental: our wedding package services (officiant, photography, videography and so on — you select which Love Gracefully package you want), any catering or reception food and beverage (venues typically have preferred caterers or in-house options), elaborate floral décor beyond the venue’s existing gardens, music beyond what’s in your Love Gracefully package, and guest transportation to and from the venue if needed.
Most couples choose public locations. The Amalfi Coast’s natural beauty — clifftops, gardens, seaside promenades — rivals any private venue, and lets you invest more in photography, videography, or extending your Italian honeymoon. But for guaranteed zero crowds, VIP privacy, or ceremonies with 20+ guests, private venues provide unforgettable exclusive experiences.
Camilla will discuss your vision, explain exact current rental costs (they vary by season and guest count), coordinate all venue logistics, and help you choose between stunning free public locations and exclusive private venues based on your priorities and budget.
Capri is the perfect complement to your Amalfi Coast wedding. This legendary island is just a short ferry ride away and offers unique Mediterranean beauty.
Getting to Capri:
- From Positano — ferry (35-40 minutes, €20-25 each way), April-October only, departures every 1-2 hours in peak season
- From Amalfi — ferry (50-60 minutes, €20-25), same seasonal schedule as Positano
- From Sorrento — ferry or hydrofoil (20-25 minutes, €18-22), year-round even in winter though on a reduced schedule, and the most frequent: every 30-60 minutes in summer
- Private boat charter — available from any Amalfi Coast location (€400-800 for a half-day, up to 6 people), giving you flexibility and privacy, and can include a coastal grottos tour
When to visit. Before your wedding (the day before or 2 days before): explore the island, scout the famous Piazzetta, ride the chairlift to Monte Solaro, visit Villa San Michele or the Augustus Gardens, take a private boat tour around the island including the Blue Grotto, and enjoy aperitivo overlooking the Faraglioni rocks. It helps you relax before your big day. After your wedding (the day after the ceremony): celebrate as newlyweds exploring this romantic island paradise, revisiting favorite spots with fresh eyes as a married couple. Honeymoon vibes.
Capri highlights: Marina Piccola beach clubs, the Faraglioni rock formations (the iconic Capri symbol), the Blue Grotto sea cave (weather permitting, April-October), Anacapri’s quieter village atmosphere and stunning views, Villa Jovis (Tiberius’s imperial palace ruins), upscale shopping in Capri town, and sunset cocktails at luxury hotel terraces.
Practical tips. Capri is expensive — restaurants and hotels are 30-50% pricier than the Amalfi Coast. Wear comfortable walking shoes (steep hills and stairs). Book the Blue Grotto early morning for fewer crowds. Bring swimwear for impromptu beach swimming. And avoid peak day-tripper hours (11 AM-4 PM) if possible.
Can we do our ceremony on Capri? Yes. Though most couples prefer the Amalfi Coast’s dramatic cliffside setting, Capri ceremonies are possible. Logistics are more complex (ferry schedules, vendor transportation, higher costs) and require +€200-400 on package prices for vendor travel. Most couples choose an Amalfi Coast ceremony plus a Capri excursion day trip — best of both worlds.
Camilla can arrange all Capri logistics, recommend the best timing, book private boat transfers, and even coordinate Capri photo shoots if you want newlywed portraits on this legendary island.
For symbolic ceremonies — what we provide — it’s beautifully simple.
No Italian paperwork required. Your ceremony is a meaningful celebration with an English-speaking officiant, personalized vows and a symbolic certificate. It’s not legally binding in Italy, which works in your favor: no foreign bureaucracy, no consulate visits, no translator fees, and no months of Italian paperwork. Most couples handle the simple legal marriage at home in their own language (a 30-minute courthouse visit), then celebrate stress-free on the Amalfi Coast.
What you need for a symbolic ceremony: just yourselves and your love. No documents required, no permits needed for public locations (beaches, clifftop viewpoints, public gardens), and no advance coordination with Italian authorities.
For public location ceremonies. Italy allows ceremonies in public spaces without permits for small groups (up to 15 people). Larger groups (15-30 guests) require coordination with local authorities — Camilla handles this seamlessly.
For private venues. Camilla arranges all bookings and permissions for Villa Rufolo, Villa Cimbrone, Grand Hotel Royal or private villa rentals. You don’t handle any Italian paperwork.
If you want a legal Italian wedding (uncommon for international couples), this requires establishing 30-day Italian residency before applying, extensive documentation (birth certificates, divorce decrees if applicable, certificates of non-impediment), all documents officially translated by Italian court translators, multiple appointments at the local Comune office, and ceremonies in Italian at government buildings. The process takes 4-6 months minimum and costs €3,000-6,000+ in bureaucracy. This is why 99% of international couples choose our symbolic approach — all the romance and beauty without the administrative nightmare.
Bottom line: for symbolic ceremonies, no Italian documents are needed. Just bring yourselves, your love, and excitement for the most romantic celebration on the Mediterranean coast.
Legally marrying in Italy as foreigners is possible but extremely complex — which is why we recommend symbolic ceremonies instead. Here’s the reality.
Legal Italian marriage requirements:
- You must establish residency in Italy for 30 days before applying — you can’t just fly in for the ceremony
- Extensive Italian paperwork including birth certificates, divorce or death certificates (if applicable), and certificates of non-impediment from your country, proving you’re legally free to marry
- All documents officially translated by Italian court translators (€150-250 per document)
- Multiple appointments at the local Comune office in the town where you’re marrying
- Ceremonies conducted in Italian at government buildings — no beach or cliffside legal ceremonies
- Italian witnesses, if yours don’t travel
The entire process takes a minimum of 4-6 months, and total costs run €3,000-6,000+ just for bureaucracy and translations.
The smart alternative — what 99% of international couples choose. A simple legal ceremony at home first: most US states, the UK, Canada and Australia allow quick courthouse marriages (15-30 minutes, straightforward paperwork in your language, €50-150 total cost including the license). Then come to the Amalfi Coast for your dream symbolic celebration — all the romance, beauty and meaning without the bureaucratic nightmare.
Your symbolic ceremony includes: an English-speaking officiant who personalizes the ceremony to your love story, your own heartfelt vows, a ceremony at breathtaking cliffside locations or private villa terraces, a symbolic certificate as an elegant keepsake, and professional photography capturing the Mediterranean magic.
What you gain: legal paperwork handled easily at home, plus a romantic dream wedding on the Amalfi Coast. This gives you freedom to celebrate your way, in your language, at spectacular coastal locations, without months of Italian bureaucracy and embassy appointments.
For American couples: many states allow self-solemnizing marriage — you sign your own license without an officiant — making the legal part even simpler before your Italian celebration.
Camilla can guide you through this practical approach that saves time, money and stress.
The number of locations depends on your package and the coastal geography. Here’s what’s realistic.
- Silver (1h photography) — one location, with ceremony and portraits. This is usually Positano cliffs, Ravello gardens or Amalfi seaside, and you’ll explore different viewpoints within one area. Perfect for couples wanting classic Amalfi Coast photos without rushing.
- Gold (3h photography + chauffeur) — 2 locations comfortably. A typical itinerary: ceremony in Positano with sunrise portraits on cliffside terraces (1.5h), then Mercedes chauffeur along the spectacular coastal road to Amalfi town center or Ravello gardens (1.5h including travel and photos). This captures the dramatic coastline variety.
- Diamond (3h photo + 3h video) — the same 2-location flow as Gold, with a videographer capturing the ceremony, the coastal drive and the village exploration. The winding road journey becomes part of your wedding film.
- Infinity (5h photography + vintage car or boat) — 3 locations easily. For example: private villa ceremony in Ravello with Terrace of Infinity views (2h), vintage Fiat 500 tour to Positano for clifftop photos (1.5h), ending at a hidden beach cove or sunset aperitif spot (1.5h). Or choose the sunset boat tour visiting coastal grottos and swimming spots.
Timing considerations. Allow 45-60 minutes minimum per location for good coverage. Travel between villages takes 20-40 minutes on winding coastal roads — the views are spectacular but the driving is slow. Morning ceremonies (7-9 AM) let you visit 2-3 locations before the midday heat and crowds.
Most popular combinations: Positano cliffs and Amalfi town center (classic coastline), Ravello gardens and Positano village (elevated views and seaside), or Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast drive (Bay of Naples and dramatic cliffs).
Camilla and Marco know every viewpoint and hidden gem along the coast. They’ll design your perfect photo itinerary based on timing, light and your priorities — balancing iconic spots with authentic local charm.
We deliver your memories faster than most wedding photographers. Here’s our timeline.
Photography delivery. The full edited gallery arrives within 3-4 weeks for Silver and Gold packages (1-3 hours coverage), or within 4-6 weeks for Diamond and Infinity packages, where the larger collections need more editing.
What you receive. All edited high-resolution photos — typically 150-250 images for 3h coverage, 50-80 images for 1h coverage — with professional color correction, exposure and light editing on all images, delivered via an online gallery you can download, share with family and print from. Your online gallery stays active for 1 year, though we recommend downloading within 90 days.
Videography delivery (Diamond and Infinity packages). The full ceremony highlight film (5-8 minutes) within 8-10 weeks, with all footage delivered via a secure downloadable link.
Why this matters. Many wedding photographers worldwide take 3-6 months to deliver photos — you’ll be reliving your Amalfi Coast wedding much sooner. Marco and our photography team work full-time as professional editors, ensuring consistent quality and reasonable turnaround.
During your wedding, your photographer typically shows preview images on the camera screen throughout the day, giving you instant feedback on poses, locations and compositions. You’ll see the magic happening in real time.
Rush delivery. Need photos faster for anniversary cards or social media? Rush editing (2-week delivery) can sometimes be arranged for €200-300 extra — ask Camilla when booking.
Prints and albums. Once you receive the digital files, you can order prints anywhere. We also offer custom-designed Italian wedding albums (€500-900, typically 30-60 pages) created by professional designers. These take 8-12 weeks after the photos are delivered.
Expect gorgeous edited photos within a month, and treasure your Amalfi Coast memories forever.
The Amalfi Coast and Sorrento are neighboring regions with distinct characteristics, and we serve both beautifully.
The Amalfi Coast includes the iconic villages of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello, characterized by dramatic cliffs, vertical villages, colorful pastel houses and winding coastal roads. It’s more dramatic, romantic, and “postcard Italy.”
Sorrento sits on a clifftop overlooking the Bay of Naples with Mount Vesuvius views. It’s more accessible, with wider streets, elegant gardens and grand hotels. It’s slightly less touristy than Positano and offers easier logistics for guests.
Both offer stunning Mediterranean sea views, excellent Italian cuisine and limoncello, proximity to Capri (a quick ferry ride), an authentic Italian atmosphere, and a year-round mild climate.
Pricing. Our base packages are the same for both regions, but Sorrento locations add +€100 to any package due to slightly higher vendor travel costs.
Choosing between them. Pick the Amalfi Coast (Positano, Ravello, Amalfi) for dramatic cliffside romance, iconic photography and vertical village charm. Pick Sorrento for easier accessibility, elegant hotel gardens, and proximity to Pompeii and Capri excursions. Many couples do the ceremony in one location and the photo tour in the other — our Mercedes chauffeur makes this seamless.
