Yes. Requirements: valid passports, birth certificates, Certificate of No Impediment, divorce/death certificates if applicable. Documents need Apostille certification. Process takes 8-12 weeks. Many couples choose symbolic ceremonies for simplicity.
Highly recommended. Mykonos presents unique challenges: limited vendor options, language barriers, strict venue regulations, complex logistics across islands, and seasonal availability constraints. Professional coordinators navigate Greek bureaucracy and secure preferred dates.
May-June and September-October offer ideal conditions with 25-28°C temperatures, fewer crowds, and better venue availability. July-August feature perfect weather but higher costs and tourist crowds. April and late October work for budget-conscious couples.
MYKONOS: MYTHICAL LAND FOR A MYTHICAL COUPLE
There are several beautiful islands in Greece, but Mykonos with its beautiful beaches and iconic windmills is special. As well as a traditional Cyladic town, with its characteristic cubist houses Mykonos boasts a charming waterfront of artists’ studios with balconies and terraces hanging out directly over the sea, like a little Venice.
The enchanting bays and coves of the Mediterranean Sea make a perfect setting for a wedding at any time; the weather is good all year round and international connections make it an easy destination. Travel to this land of legends and myths and discover its beautiful historic villages where time seems to have stopped in a more romantic era.

International elopements can be daunting figuring out who to trust and what steps you need to take. We had so many questions at the start of the process that Uschi was incredible at unpacking for us. She was clear, concise, and more than we could have ever hoped for. Because of Uschi, we felt confident the day would be handled with nothing but precision - which was true. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Uschi. You went above and beyond.
If you’re thinking about eloping in the German Alps, look no further. She is your person!
Where do I even begin? Our experience with Love Gracefully was beyond anything we could have imagined, and we owe the perfection of our day to Belinda, Alex, and Nicole.
From the very first message, Belinda was a dream to work with — attentive, organized, incredibly warm, and calm through every moment. She guided us effortlessly from start to finish, anticipating needs we didn't even know we had. On the day of our ceremony, we discovered that the Iron Man race in Cascais was taking place literally right outside our hotel, making it impossible to leave. Belinda handled the situation with absolute grace — contacting the hotel, coordinating logistics, and ensuring a clear path so we could reach our ride waiting on a side street. Not once did we feel stressed; she made everything flow seamlessly. Truly, the perfect planner.
And then there’s Nicole, who walked into my room with a massive box of makeup selections and the most infectious energy. She was fun, professional, shockingly knowledgeable, and full of life. Not only did she make me feel like royalty, but my hair and makeup stayed flawless all night long — even with all the movement, celebrating, and a broken foot to work around! Her experience really showed, and she made the pampering process such a beautiful part of the day.
Our photographer was exceptional as well — directing us like seasoned Hollywood stars while capturing incredibly natural, candid photographs (exactly what we wanted!). His creativity blew us away, especially when he brought out a drone for stunning overhead shots we never expected. Every angle, every moment, every emotion — preserved forever.
What made this team stand out the most was not just the talent, but their humanity. They were kind, patient, fun, and genuinely invested in our happiness. Even though it was just the two of us, we always felt like we were surrounded by friends. Whether you’re planning an intimate elopement or a full-scale wedding, I can say with confidence that Love Gracefully will tailor everything to perfection and guide you with expertise and heart.
We will forever cherish this experience — and we will absolutely stay in touch when we're back in town. Truly, amazing people who also happen to be exceptional at what they do.
Highly, highly recommend. 💍✨
It’s easy to see why so many couples—especially those planning from abroad—place their complete trust in Love Gracefully. Every detail was handled with such organization, clear communication, and genuine care, and they truly listened to our vision and delivered exactly the experience we hoped for. Their commitment to making everything seamless and stress-free allowed us to fully enjoy every moment of our day.
A heartfelt thank you to Claudia, our officiant, who beautifully captured our love during the ceremony, and to the amazingly talented team behind the camera. Noccolo’s stunning videography and Laura’s breathtaking photography allow us to relive the emotion and magic of our wedding every time we watch the video or look at the photos.
Thank you for your compassion, professionalism, and heart. Love Gracefully and their entire staff are truly a blessing and a first-class company in every sense.
Alessandra was simply the most lovely and friendly makeup and hair artist we have ever met. She was incredibly helpful and managed to make me feel like the most beautiful bride on earth.
We would also like to thank Daniele, our celebrant who was amazing and made our ceremony so special. And finally a big thank you to Federica and Alessandro who did an incredible job on photography and videography. We couldn’t have hoped for more beautiful pictures and video. It doesn’t hurt that they were incredibly lovely and friendly as well.
Our elopement in Lake Como was an absolute dream and we could choose Love Gracefully all over again if we had to. Thank you so much! 🇮🇹✨
Sarah & Ciaran
Leading up to the wedding, they were responsive, organized, and genuinely excited for us. On the day of our elopement, the team created a calm, joyful atmosphere. They kept everything running smoothly without ever making the day feel rushed. The photographer they paired us with was phenomenal and captured breathtaking shots that we will cherish forever.
What stood out the most was how personal everything felt; they took time to understand who we are as a couple and tailored the experience to us. If you’re considering an elopement, do yourself a favor and hire Love Gracefully. It was truly the best decision we made for our wedding.

OUR MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR MYKONOS CEREMONIES
more general questions here
Create detailed information packet: Flights: Book early (6-9 months) for summer, connect through Athens if no direct flights, consider ferry option if visiting multiple islands. Accommodation: Reserve 12 months ahead for peak season, provide hotel block with group rates, specify proximity to venues. Transportation: Taxis limited and can be expensive, encourage rental cars/scooters for flexibility (international license required), arrange shuttles for wedding day. Packing: Lightweight clothing, sunscreen (strong Aegean sun), comfortable shoes for cobblestones, windbreaker for meltemi winds, swimwear. Culture: Greeks dine late (9pm+), siesta culture (2-5pm closures), modest dress for monastery visits. Best time: Arrive 2-3 days before wedding for adjustment.
Moderately suitable, depending on accommodation and venue choices. Mykonos has a party-island reputation, but quieter areas exist: Ornos, Platis Gialos, and Kalafatis offer family beaches with shallow waters and amenities. Several family-friendly resorts provide kids’ clubs and pools. Challenges: many venues cater to adult atmosphere, later Greek dining times (9pm+), limited children’s activities compared to dedicated family destinations. Ano Mera village offers authentic, slower-paced experience. Most wedding venues welcome children but lack specific kids’ entertainment—you’ll need to arrange babysitting or childcare. For child-inclusive weddings, consider earlier ceremony times (5-6pm) and family-style beach settings rather than late-night party venues.
Mykonos Town (Chora): Prime location, walkable restaurants/nightlife, can be noisy and crowded. Ornos Bay: Family-friendly, beach access, mid-range hotels, convenient to popular venues. Psarou Beach: Upscale, near Nammos, quieter than town. Agios Ioannis: Secluded luxury, stunning sunsets, villas/boutique hotels, requires transportation. Platis Gialos: Beach setting, family resorts, good value. Ano Mera: Inland village, authentic Greek experience, budget options, less convenient. Block rooms 12+ months ahead for summer weddings. Consider proximity to venue—taxis can be expensive, rental scooters popular but risky.
Several factors drive Mykonos’s premium pricing: island’s international luxury reputation attracts high-end vendors, limited seasonal operating window (May-October) compresses revenue opportunities, restricted vendor pool reduces competition, import costs for specialized items (flowers, linens, equipment) from Athens, accommodation and operating expenses among Greece’s highest, strong euro pricing without budget alternatives, and peak tourist demand competing for same resources. Additionally, venues know their marketability—Scorpios, Alemagou, Nammos command premium fees based on brand recognition. Budget-conscious couples should consider shoulder seasons or nearby islands (Paros, Naxos) for 40-50% savings.
Delos itself prohibits weddings—it’s a UNESCO World Heritage archaeological site with strict preservation rules. However, Delos works beautifully for day-after activities: 30-minute boat ride from Mykonos, extraordinary ancient ruins (birthplace of Apollo and Artemis), professional photo opportunities among columns and mosaics, typically 2-3 hour visits. Some couples arrange private yacht charters combining Delos viewing with swimming stops at Rhenia island, creating memorable guest experiences. Consider Delos as an excursion rather than wedding venue—the cultural enrichment adds depth to your destination wedding experience.
Alemagou Beach: Bohemian-luxe beachfront with natural elegance, perfect for sunset ceremonies, accommodates 50-150 guests, €8,000-€15,000 venue fees. Scorpios: World-renowned sunset views, spiritual-meets-sophisticated atmosphere, 80-200 capacity, premium pricing €10,000+. Cavo Tagoo: Clifftop hotel with infinity pools overlooking the Aegean, intimate settings 30-80 guests, €5,000-€12,000. Bill & Coo: Boutique luxury hotel, minimalist Cycladic design, 20-60 guests, €4,000-€8,000. Private Villas: Ultra-exclusive, customizable settings, 10-50 guests, €3,000-€20,000 depending on property. Each offers distinct aesthetics from barefoot beach luxury to polished elegance.
Exceptional for couples seeking iconic Greek island beauty with cosmopolitan flair. Advantages: instantly recognizable Cycladic architecture (white-washed buildings, blue domes), spectacular Aegean sunsets, world-class dining and nightlife, excellent international connections via Mykonos Airport (JMK), luxury accommodation options, and stunning photo opportunities. Best suited for couples wanting a blend of romantic atmosphere and vibrant social scene. Consider that costs run higher than other Greek islands due to Mykonos’s premium positioning.
Book 12-18 months ahead for peak season (June-September) weddings, especially for premier venues like Scorpios or Alemagou that fill quickly. Shoulder seasons (May, October) offer more flexibility with 8-12 months’ notice. Last-minute bookings (3-6 months) possible in April or November but with limited venue selection. Consider that Mykonos operates seasonally—most venues close November-March, and vendor availability concentrates in the high season.
Beaches: Paradise and Super Paradise (party atmosphere), Elia (quieter, LGBT-friendly), Agios Sostis (untouched beauty). Cultural: Delos day trip (ancient ruins), Ano Mera village and Panagia Tourliani Monastery, windmills and Little Venice sunset viewing. Beach clubs: Scorpios (spiritual), Nammos (glamorous), Alemagou (bohemian). Water activities: Yacht charters, snorkeling, diving, paddleboarding. Mykonos Town: Shopping narrow streets, dining at waterfront tavernas, nightlife at Scandinavian Bar or Caprice. Day trips: Rhenia island, sailing excursions, wine tasting. Plan welcome party (beach BBQ, yacht cruise) and farewell brunch to maximize group time. Provide activity guide with reservations for popular restaurants/clubs.
Common surprises: transportation fees (ferries, taxis, venue shuttles) for guest logistics, hair/makeup trials often charged separately, late-night venue extensions, equipment rentals (upgraded sound, lighting, generators), import fees for specific decor items, last-minute guest count changes incur per-person charges, marriage license and document translations, and gratuities for vendors (plan 10-15% of service costs). Travel insurance protects against cancellations. Weather backup plans (tent rentals) add costs. Always request itemized quotes and clarify what’s excluded from base pricing.
Little Venice offers Mykonos’s most iconic backdrop—colorful 18th-century houses with balconies extending over the sea, spectacular sunset views, immediate access to Mykonos Town’s nightlife. Challenges: no dedicated wedding venues in Little Venice itself, extremely limited space, intense tourist traffic (hundreds of sunset watchers nightly), difficulty with large groups, and logistical complications. Best approached as a ceremony-only location (10-30 guests) followed by reception elsewhere, or for pre/post-wedding photoshoots. Some waterfront restaurants (Caprice Bar, Scarpa) accommodate intimate receptions 20-40 guests with advance booking.
Mykonos features 400+ churches and chapels, though most serve Greek Orthodox ceremonies only. Panagia Paraportiani (Mykonos Town): iconic whitewashed church complex, no longer available for weddings but stunning photo backdrop. Agios Nikolakis Chapel (Ano Mera village): small, traditional, occasionally available for Orthodox ceremonies. Many hotels and venues include private chapels: Cavo Tagoo Chapel, Mykonos Grand Chapel. Most international couples opt for symbolic ceremonies at secular venues followed by legal registration, avoiding Orthodox Church requirements (baptism certificates, religious counseling, specific documentation).
Yes, though with considerations. Public beaches (Ornos, Platis Gialos) technically allow ceremonies but require municipality permits, face noise restrictions, and offer no amenities or privacy. Beach clubs (Alemagou, Nammos, Scorpios) provide the better option: organized infrastructure, catering, bathrooms, sound systems, and event coordination, with prices from €6,000-€15,000. Private beach access through luxury villas offers ultimate exclusivity. Weather factors critically—meltemi winds can disrupt beach setups June-September. Most couples choose sunset timing (8-9pm summer) for optimal lighting and cooler temperatures.
Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters. May-June: 22-27°C, minimal rain, gentle meltemi winds, perfect for outdoor ceremonies. July-August: 28-32°C, guaranteed sunshine, stronger winds (cooling but challenging for decor), peak season crowds. September-October: 23-28°C, warm sea temperatures, fewer tourists, occasional rain late October. November-March: 12-18°C, significant rainfall, most venues closed. The famous meltemi winds (June-September) can gust strongly—secure decorations and consider hair/veil styles accordingly.
Direct flights from Athens (35 minutes), major European cities (2-4 hours), and seasonal US connections. Mykonos Airport (JMK) sits 4km from town. Alternative: fly to Athens, then high-speed ferry (2.5-3 hours) or SeaJets catamaran—scenic but weather-dependent. Peak season requires early flight bookings as prices surge. Most venues offer shuttle services, but rental cars or ATVs popular for exploring. Warn guests about narrow, winding roads and limited parking in Mykonos Town. Water taxis connect beaches and neighboring islands like Delos.
Required documents: valid passports, original birth certificates with Apostille, Certificate of No Impediment (CNI) from your country with Apostille, statutory declarations, divorce decrees or death certificates if previously married (with Apostille). Greek translations required for all documents. Submit paperwork to Mykonos Municipality 8-12 weeks before your wedding date. The process involves working with the local registry office and often requires a Greek lawyer or wedding coordinator familiar with current regulations, which change periodically.
