The Louvre Pyramid’s exterior courtyard is free and accessible for wedding photos but can be crowded, then we prefer to go there for photoshoot! This is one of Paris’s most iconic architectural spots — the glass pyramid with the historic palace wings creates a stunning, sophisticated backdrop. Best time: Sunrise (7-8 AM) when the courtyard is nearly empty, or late evening (after 7 PM). Mid-day it’s packed with tourists. You can photograph freely in the courtyard without any permits or fees. However, entering the Louvre Museum itself for interior photos (the Mona Lisa room, grand staircases, Venus de Milo gallery) is more complex: the museum doesn’t allow professional photography inside without special permits that cost €300-500 and require advance booking. Most couples find the exterior courtyard more than sufficient — the pyramid alone is instantly recognizable as “Paris” and photographs beautifully from multiple angles. Other great architecture locations included free in our packages: Palais Royal’s columns and arcades (right next to the Louvre), Pont Alexandre III bridge with ornate golden sculptures, Arc de Triomphe from Place de la Concorde view (tricky to get close due to traffic circle), Notre Dame cathedral façade and plaza. Our photographers know the best angles and timing for each location. The Gold, Diamond, and Infinity packages include Mercedes chauffeur allowing you to efficiently visit 3-5 iconic locations in one morning, creating a comprehensive Paris photo story!
