The ceremony in a gondola

You have see plenty movies in Venice and probably at least one time with some people or couple in a gondola and you thought “i want to do that”… That’s exactly what Brittany and Barry decided for their elopement. Not only go gondola riding but also get married on the boat.

Just imagine the astonishment of the gondolier, it was also an incredible memory for him and for the people looking at the ceremony from the river bank.

The photoshoot

Usually we organize the photo session just after the ceremony and as this one was done on the gondola, we chose to do the session in small, more discreet places. As we said, our photographer is local and then she knows the best spots. In Venice you can walk a lot to find the right little corner, gate, bridge… one of the important trick is to think to bring a comfortable pair of shoes and don’t hesitate to get lost in the maze of streets and channels. To walk and to look around is always the best way to discover a city and also to catch the original setting.

For sure we plan a cruise in a speed boat. It’s not only about photos but also about memories and emotions. On these 2 photos you can see the 2 axis of the same area: on the second one we are at our usual location for the ceremony with a great background: the “abbazia di san giorgio maggiore“
