Rome’ architecture and historic sites like the Forum or the Colosseum make it the perfect backdrop for a romantic and unique wedding ceremony.

FAQ about your destination wedding in Italy
No. All destination weddings ceremonies organized by Love Gracefully in Italy are purely symbolic, meaning that they have no legal value. The idea here is that due to heavy paperwork, rules and translations issues for a civil legal ceremony are very complex, costly and time-consuming. Therefore, we suggest to couples to have the paperwork done at home and come to Italy to celebrate their Love in a symbolic way. Our specialty is the celebration of love, not the legal matters. However, would you really wish to have a civil legal ceremony in Italy, it’s possible. Complex but possible. We can propose you that service but only in Rome. Of course, that service is extra to our package prices. Don’t hesitate to contact us to know more about that feature.
Would you absolutly want a religious ceremony in Venice, Florence or Rome, we could direct you to a local church. It’s very complex and rare as many European priests do not speak English. Our suggestion would be that, if you want a religious ceremony in Italy, to let us, at Love Gracefully, create a spiritual ceremony that includes your religious beliefs. That way, you have both sides: a spiritual destination wedding that incorporates your religious beliefs in an exquisite Italian outdoor location such as gondola in Venice, in front of the coliseum in Rome or in a gorgeous Tuscany garden in Florence.
- Since we work mainly outdoors we take that issue very seriously.
- Weather forecasts are not very accurate, so no need to overreact. We use them but we use our brain too.
- Best to wait 48 hours to 24 hours before D-day to make a final call on what to do; not need to check the weather forecast a week before.
- We have a plan B in Venice, Rome and Florence, protected from the rain, ready to go.
- If it rains a little bit we can wait for it to stop.
- If the weather gets extremely bad and our vendors are available, we are flexible and we can try to move the ceremony to another time in the day. Only if vendors and officiant are available.
Having said all that, Italy is the capital country for fashion. So, depending on the time of the year, the city you choose in Italy, your mood, one dress could work better than another one. So, don’t hesitate to contact our different coordinator in each city: Paola in Venice, Lorena in Florence or Francesca in Rome. They can tell you what’s the trend now!
